Mike Craven Medical Ltd’s headquarters in Woodmansey near Hull. Mike Craven Medical has quickly established itself as a leader in the sale of new and used Medical Equipment to Healthcare and Veterinary professionals in the UK and Worldwide.
The 1st of September 2012 saw Mike Craven Medical Ltd expand further by moving to a dedicated facility, specially designed with a clinical clean environment, 4,000sq ft warehousing and offices.
July 2013 saw the Mike Craven Medical brand expand even further as we were awarded the Official and Exclusive Distributorship for Rudolf Medical products exclusively throughout England and Wales, with the addition of a new custom website dedicated to this partnership. Web prescence was further increased in January of 2020 with the launch of a new bespoke website reflecting the comitment to maintaining relevance for the company, and keeping abreast of the ever changing nature of the internet.
Mike Craven – Director
Mike previously served for 15 years in the British Army as an Operating Theatre Technician, State Registered Nurse and Registered Mental Nurse.
After a move into the sales sector upon leaving the Army and becoming the HQ manager for Mitsubishi Motors NATO Car Sales (Germany), Mike then moved back into the medical field.
Working for Welch Allyn UK Ltd, selling hand held diagnostic equipment.
Upon moving to Physio Control Ltd, Mike was selling Defibrillators to a varied range of clients from the NHS to film studios and airports. High achievement was also evident here as Mike reached 110% of his sales target in the first year in a difficult period whilst they were under FDA restrictions.
Success followed becoming a top seller for Richard Wolf UK Ltd. Selling Endoscopic equipment to all specialties.
A move to Siemens Medical PLC saw Mike selling Operating Theatre Lights / Tables / Pendant Systems to the NHS, private hospitals and research facilities. Reaching the level of Senior Manager, Mike achieved sales of £1.8 million in 1997-1998 and was the first person in the company for 20 years to receive a Siemens “Achievement of excellence” award.
Mike was head-hunted by Whittmore Enterprises INC, A Californian based company and rapidly established their UK operation as their UK General Manager.
Now with Mike Craven Medical Ltd. The years of knowledge and proven track record of excellence have all been combined into his own company. Already established as the preferred seller to many Veterinary and healthcare professionals worldwide, Mike continues to oversee the growth of the company, and ensuring standards of excellence achieved throughout his career are the driving force behind his company.
Paul Hattersley – Operations Manager
Paul’s career started after extensive training in the IT sector, and rapidly finding himself as a freelance Tutor / Designer / Tester.
He carried out a range of contracts over the years tutoring clients company employees in IT skills at a corporate level, as well as Website design and development contracts and system / software security testing contracts.
From early in his career he developed a trusted reputation due to the sensitive nature of many of the contracts, and the preferred person to speak to in the sector for many companies including famous high street names. The next chapter in Paul’s career saw him move to industry specific IT applications and enjoying success as a specialist stores manager for Hull City Council, tasked with computerizing their stock operations. Eventually Paul became a highly experienced CNC Algebraic programmer at C. Jackson & Sons Ltd. Responsible for the management of not only £2 Million of highly specialized machinery, but also the entire department and staff. Paul was also placed in charge of Health and Safety Risk Assessments as well as management of the transport fleet for the company. Development for Paul didn’t stop there and he undertook training in the Japanese systems of running Poka-Yoke Error Elimination practices, Kanban stock accountability management systems and Lean Manufacturing efficiency systems.

The management working in conjunction with Mike Craven saw Paul’s potential, and through Mike’s personal request, Paul was transferred to the role of E-Commerce and Operations Manager for the new company developed by Mike in conjunction with the Jackson family: Jackson’s Medical Auctions Ltd.

Under Mike’s tutelage, Paul transferred his extensive management / IT / organisational skills to the medical sector within this company and rapidly found a new career. Paul was a key component in the development of the company website, his previous knowledge allowed him to become a vital member of the team.

Paul began to enjoy success alongside Mike organizing Live Auctions, running Online Auctions, developing an international client base, implementing a regimented stock control system, marketing the company and selling the widest variety of medical equipment from Ophthalmoscopes to MRI’s.
Paul was also responsible for achieving the title of NHS Approved Auctioneer status for the company.
Paul now brings the knowledge developed at Jackson’s into the Mike Craven Medical ltd brand completely. Now as the Operations Manager for the company, he continues to deliver the same level of service and excellence, and represents the next stage of growth in the company.
